This supernova remnant lies between the horns of Taurus. It erupted into life in the 11th century and for a period was visible during the day time. Now it has diminished to a dim nebula which needs a telescope to see clearly. Even then it remains faint with the filaments requiring a dark sky and plenty of aperture to see clearly.
Scope:10" LX200ACF at F10 with SXV AO.
Camera: QSI 532ws using an Astronomic 13nm Ha filter.
Exposure details: 14x900 seconds.
Captured with MaximDL, 2 iterations of deconvolution in CCDsharp and finished in Photoshop.
I spent a second evening capturing what I thought was OIII only to discover that I had been using a CLS filter! Hope to get some OIII next year.
