Looking at Mike's images you expect them to have been captured using high end Astro Physics mounts and esoteric apochromatic refractors. It comes as a bit of a shock to see that his principle equipment is a Skywatcher Eq6 with budget goto, a 10" Skywatcher reflector and an ED80, all sited in a roll off shed. He obviously pays attention to small details, gives his targets plenty of exposure time and has developed a sure touch with his processing.
