IC5070 - The Pelican Nebula

IC5070 Pelican Nebula

A large emission nebula immediately to the west of the even larger North American Nebula in the constellation of Cygnus - about 2 finger widths to the east of Deneb.

Date: 2nd October 2006

Scope: Nexstar GPS 8" with Fastar lens.

Camera: SXV H9F

Filter: Astronomik 13nm Ha

Just 2x60secs and 14x90 secs. Too little exposure for quite a dim target but the fastar helps enormously bringing the scope down to F2.
